Story:
This is Goongoolooloo “ the Wickham River country and part of the artist’s traditional country near Timber Creek in the Northern Territory. Goongoolooloo flows across the centre of the image towards the Victoria River.

Two creeks join the main river from the upper section – Karnaranni-Runaway Creek and Thoogarni – Wally Creek. Between them is Cowboy Knob and Billabong. In the lower section is Warwal – Quart Pot Creek. Warwal is also the name of the large hill with a small rocky knob beside it. Warrwi Hill lies between this creek and the next – Thjamarroo – Billy Can Creek. “Long time ago a bloke got hit on the head here by a billy can.”
